About the North West
Trail Running Series

and the people behind it.

Our trail running series was born from a shared passion for adventure and a deep love for Tasmania’s breathtaking landscapes. Co-founded by Michael from Tasmanian Multisport Adventures and Zac from OVERLAP Consistent Running Coaching, this series is a testament to the power of collaboration and community spirit.

Michael and Zac bring a wealth of experience and a shared vision to this project. Together, they have crafted a series that celebrates not only the thrill and challenge of trail running but also the stunning natural beauty of Tasmania’s North-west. Our races are designed to immerse participants in the region’s diverse terrains, offering an unforgettable experience for runners of all levels.

Our Vision

We aim to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where runners can push their limits, connect with nature, and forge lasting friendships. Our races are more than just a competition; they are a celebration of the trail running community and the spectacular landscapes that make Tasmania so unique.

Join us as we explore these trails, challenge ourselves, and build a vibrant community that thrives on adventure, support, and the shared joy of running. Whether you’re a seasoned trail runner or new to the sport, our series offers something for everyone, encouraging personal growth and a deeper connection with the great outdoors. We look forward to seeing you on the trails!

Acknowledgments

We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Kelly, the visionary founder of the highly popular Penguin Running Festival. It was Kelly’s innovative spirit and passion that initially conceptualized this event, laying the groundwork for what it has become today. We are grateful for her inspiration and dedication, which have played a crucial role in bringing this series to life. As Michael and Zac take the reins as event directors, we carry forward Kelly’s legacy, ensuring that her dream continues to flourish and inspire runners from near and far.
